Three packs of pre-stretched Ultra Braid at 72 inches, which is the length you buy when you want braids past the waist, or when you are folding for a doubled knotless install.
Ultra Braid is the workhorse of the X Pression range. It comes pre-stretched and feathered, so the taper is already there and you can start braiding without an hour of prep. Three packs covers a full head at most densities, and more than that if you are working a smaller braid count.
The fibre balances grip against slip. It holds a section while you feed but slides through cleanly on the pull, so the roots stay tidy and your hands are not fighting drag on every braid.
Kanekalon-style modacrylic. Light enough to wear at that length without weight becoming the problem by week two, and it resists tangling through the wear of the style. For box braids, knotless, feed-in cornrows and twists on wavy through coily hair.

Application tips
At 72 inches, decide early whether you are folding or cutting.
Folded in half doubles the thickness and lands the finish somewhere near the waist. Cut across first if you want two braids out of one length. Lay the pack flat, pull your feed in even widths off the top, and work from the nape upward so the long fibre is not dragging over rows you have already closed.
Results
The taper does the visual work. Braids narrow to a point at the tips instead of stopping flat, so length hangs and moves like hair rather than sitting there as a block.
Mid-lengths hold their pattern through washes. Colour laid in as you feed comes out as a gradient instead of a band. Three packs is enough that you are not rationing fibre by the last few rows.
