Oyin Handmade Hair Dew
Hair Dew is the leave-in you use every day rather than only on wash day. It is a lotion rather than a cream, thin enough to spread over a whole head in a minute and light enough that it does not build up when you reach for it four mornings running.
Castor oil and olive squalane do the moisture work, with aloe and behentrimonium methosulfate behind them for slip. The scent is a soft sugary vanilla, which is one of the reasons people who use Oyin keep using Oyin. It goes on best straight after a cleanse, on hair with nothing else in it, but it will also revive a style that has gone dry three days in.
Apply to wet, damp or dry hair whenever the hair wants a moisture boost. For a protective style, put it on damp hair, seal the ends with an oil-based pomade, then twist or plait. It suits kinks, coils and curls, roughly type 2A through 4A.
Worth knowing that Hair Dew is a moisturiser and not a sealant. Oil goes on after it rather than instead of it, and that order is what decides whether the moisture is still there on day three or gone by the following morning.

Application tips
A pump or two into the palm, rubbed together, then smoothed over a section from the ends upward. It is a lotion rather than a cream, so it spreads thin and goes further than it looks.
Daily use is the intention. Straight after a wash on bare hair, or on dry hair mid-week when the ends feel rough. Seal over the top with a pomade if you are setting a protective style.
Results
Hair feels soft and hydrated within seconds and stays that way rather than going crisp by the afternoon. There is no weight to it, so coils keep their movement.
Because it holds moisture in the strand, hair stays supple enough to handle without snapping, which is where most day-to-day breakage comes from. The scent is faintly sugary and fades quickly.
