This Code of Ethics describes how Zenvy Beauty operates — the principles we hold ourselves to in dealing with customers, suppliers, employees, and the wider community. It applies to everyone who works for Zenvy and to anyone we contract with.
Customers
We tell the truth about our products. We don't make claims we can't substantiate. We don't imply medical or therapeutic benefits. We don't manipulate before/after imagery. When a product won't work for someone's curl type or porosity, we say so.
We honour our pricing. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. We don't use dark patterns — fake countdowns, fake stock-low alerts, hidden subscriptions, pre-ticked add-ons.
We respect your inbox. If you opt out of marketing, we stop. If you ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days (subject to legal retention requirements).
Suppliers
We pay invoices on time. Standard terms are 30 days net; we routinely pay faster than that. We don't use late payment as a working-capital tool.
We honour our purchase orders. If we commit to a quantity, we take it. If commercial conditions change, we negotiate openly rather than walking away.
We choose suppliers who align with our values where possible — Black-founded brands, fair-trade ingredients, ethical sourcing — but we don't tokenise relationships or use them for marketing without permission.
Employees and contractors
We pay at or above market rate. We publish salary bands in job listings. We pay freelance and contract staff at the rate they quoted, on the schedule agreed. We never expect "exposure" or "for the brand" working.
We hire on merit. We use anonymised CVs at the first-screen stage. We don't ask about salary history or expect candidates to interview "on spec".
Editorial and content
Our journal pieces are written or reviewed by people with the relevant texture. Where AI was used to draft a piece, we say so. We don't run advertorial dressed as editorial. If a piece is sponsored, paid, or part of a brand collaboration, that's stated at the top of the article. See our Editorial Policy for full detail.
Environment
We minimise packaging waste — orders ship in recycled, recyclable cardboard, no single-use plastic envelopes, no plastic peanuts. We aggregate orders to reduce per-shipment carbon. We use Royal Mail Tracked and DPD UK courier networks rather than air-freight by default.
We don't claim to be carbon-neutral. We're a small UK-based reseller and our impact is real but limited. We focus on what we can verify rather than what sounds good.
Conflicts of interest
If a Zenvy team member has a financial or family relationship with a supplier, that's disclosed and the team member is recused from purchasing decisions for that brand.
Reporting a concern
If you believe Zenvy has acted contrary to this code — as a customer, supplier, employee, or member of the public — email ethics@zenvy-beauty.com. Reports are read by the founder directly and treated confidentially. Retaliation against anyone who raises a good-faith concern is itself a breach of this code.

This code is reviewed every 12 months. Last reviewed: May 2026.
