A creme hair dress sits between an oil and a butter. It is soft enough to spread through a section with your fingers but thick enough to stay put, which makes it a daily moisturiser rather than a wash day treatment. This is the 8 oz jar.
Olive oil does the conditioning. It is a heavier oil, so it coats the strand and slows down how quickly moisture leaves, which matters most on hair that is dry, brittle and handled a lot. Used daily on dry or damp hair it keeps the strand pliable, and pliable hair snaps less under a comb.

Application tips
Open the jar with dry hands and take a small scoop, no more than a fingertip covers. Spread it across your fingers, then lay it down the length of a section rather than pushing it in at the root.
Ends need the most. Plait or twist each section as you finish it. Doing this at night beats doing it in a morning rush.
Results
The consistency is closer to a soft butter than a lotion, so it stays put instead of vanishing into the hair within an hour. Brittle lengths turn pliable, which is what stops them snapping when a comb catches.
Detangling gets faster. The shine it leaves is a matte sort, more like healthy hair in daylight than product on top of it.
