That is the thinking behind this two-step kit. The clarifying shampoo lifts buildup off the scalp and the strand while leaving the curl's elasticity intact, and the deep conditioner puts moisture back with a blend of amino acids and proteins.

Start with the shampoo on wet hair, massage into the scalp properly, and rinse. Then take the conditioner through the mid-lengths and ends, leave it two or three minutes, and rinse well. It doubles as a co-wash routine on the weeks between full washes.
It suits curls that feel coated and heavy, or anyone whose products have stopped performing and cannot work out why. Protein and moisture together is what brings the bounce back.

Application tips
Nothing lathers, so judge the shampoo by how long you spend on the scalp rather than by foam. Wet the hair, use a generous amount, and work in circles with fingertips for a couple of minutes.
Rinse. The conditioner goes on next, ends first, and it wants a few minutes while you do something else.
Rinse cool. Both bottles are 10 oz, so they run out together.
