Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie
Worth being straight about the hold. This is a curl enhancer with light to medium grip, not a setting product.
It defines and it softens, and if you want a twist-out or a coil-out to hold hard you will be putting a gel over the top of it. What it does better than a gel is condition, and that is the trade you are making.
Shea butter and coconut oil are the base, with macadamia and avocado oils, vegetable glycerin and aloe for moisture. Silk protein works on breakage and smoothness, and neem oil is the ayurvedic addition, in there for strength and shine. It is sulfate-free and safe on coloured hair, with no parabens, phthalates, mineral oil or synthetic fragrance.

Application tips
Warm it between your palms first, because it is stiff straight out of the tub and will sit in patches otherwise. Work through four parts of damp hair, ends first, roots last.
For a twist-out that holds hard, layer a gel on afterwards. Used as a treatment instead, it can sit for a quarter of an hour under a cap before rinsing.
Results
Curls draw together and the texture softens straight away, so hair feels conditioned rather than coated.
Hold is light to medium, which means movement rather than a set shape. Frizz stays down without any stiffness in the strand, and there is none of the crunch a gel would leave.
On thick, curly hair the effect is most obvious in how much easier the whole head is to handle by the next morning. Second-day hair still separates cleanly.
