Used sparingly it brings shine back to hair that looks dull and leaves a dry scalp feeling more comfortable. Because it is a gel it distributes further than an oil would, so a 1 oz jar goes further than the size suggests. Work a small amount along the parting and through the lengths on damp hair, and keep the quantity low. This is a finishing and conditioning step, not something to apply by the handful.
