Pour a little into your palms, rub them together, and smooth it over the hair. Keep it to the mid-lengths and ends if your roots go greasy quickly. It works on any texture, though the shimmer shows up most on dark hair.

Application tips
Shake it, because the shimmer settles at the bottom. A ten-pence amount into the palms, rubbed together, then smoothed over the mid-lengths and ends of dry or damp hair.
Keep it off the roots unless you want the glow at the parting. For a stronger effect in the evening, do a second pass over the top layer only, where light will actually catch it. Daily use is fine at that dose.
Results
The lotion does the conditioning and the particles do the rest. Hair that had gone rough and hard to comb lies smoother and separates more easily under the fingers.
Over that, fine gold particles pick up light as you move, which reads as a warm glow rather than glitter. Flyaways settle, the surface looks less dull under indoor lighting, and because it is a lotion it conditions while it shimmers.
