Duo fibre brushes are built to hold back. The long outer fibres sit above the dense short ones, so only a fraction of the bristle ever touches the product, and only a fraction of the product ever reaches your face in one pass. Sheer first, then build.

The RMUB05 uses Taklon fibres for that, which means it works with liquids and creams without soaking them up into the head, and it stays soft against the skin through a full face.

Stipple rather than sweep. Press the product in with the flat of the brush, then buff in small circles once it is roughly where you want it. Sweeping with a duo fibre head is how people end up with the streaks they bought it to avoid.
