Boar bristle does something nylon does not. The fibre is close enough in structure to hair that it lifts natural oil off the scalp and drags it down the strand, which is why a boar brushed head looks polished with nothing put on it.
The BOR15 is the club shape, so it has a handle and an oval head, and the bristle bed is curved to keep contact as it travels over the sides. All the bristles are boar and all of them are soft, which makes this a smoothing and finishing brush rather than a laying one. It glides through dry hair, takes the fuzz off, seals the surface down and leaves it shining.
Fine and medium textures will get the most from it. Coarse hair should use it last in the routine, after a firmer brush has done the moving.

Application tips
Dry hair only. Boar bristle on wet hair drags and achieves nothing, since the job is moving oil rather than detangling.
Start at the crown and take long strokes right through to the ends, following the curve of the head so the bed keeps contact the whole way. Ten or twenty strokes per section is plenty. Pull the shed hair out of the bristles afterwards, and wash the brush every couple of weeks.
Results
Hair takes on a polished, even finish with nothing applied to it, because the bristles carry the oil sitting at the roots down to where it is useful.
Surface fuzz disappears and flyaways settle. Fine and medium hair looks thicker and glossier after a minute of work. On dry ends the effect is softening rather than coating, since what is doing the softening is your own oil.
