Sunflower seed oil makes up the base, with jojoba, castor and argan oils layered in, plus rosemary oleoresin and biotin, or vitamin B7, working at the root. The lavender fragrance is derived from plants rather than blended synthetically. Free from parabens, phthalates, silicones, sulfates and artificial fragrance.

How to use it
Before you shampoo, apply as much as you need straight onto the scalp and massage it in. Leave it to sit for at least 10 minutes, then wash as normal.

Application tips
Keep it on dry hair, before you get anywhere near water. Part a row, tip the bottle against the skin and squeeze the bulb, then move the parting across an inch and repeat until the whole head is covered.
Fingertips next, small circles, working from the hairline back. Let it sit while you undress and set the shower running. Lather twice if the roots feel weighted afterwards.
Results
The point of oiling first is what happens during the wash rather than after it. Shampoo has less bare cuticle to strip, so the hair leaving the shower feels softer at the root and less brittle along the length.
Scalp skin reads calmer and less pulled. Lavender lingers faintly through the wash, and the lengths stay light because almost nothing went on them.
