A souffle is a gel with air whipped into it, which is why this one spreads more like a mousse and does not leave the hair feeling coated.
The job is definition with moisture attached. Curls and waves get shape and clump properly, but the finish stays soft instead of drying out into a crunchy cast. Water, glycerin, polyquaternium-37 and VP/VA copolymer are the ingredients doing the work, glycerin for hydration and the polymers for hold and slip.
Apply it to towel-dried hair in sections, comb it through or rake it in with your fingers, style as usual and let the hair dry fully before you touch it. The 16oz tub lasts a while unless your hair is very long or very dense. Built for wavy, curly and coily textures that need moisture as much as they need hold.
Sixteen ounces suits the way a souffle actually gets used. Because it is light, most people apply more of it than they would a gel, and dense or long hair will get through it faster than the tub size suggests.
