Application tips
Work with product on damp hair rather than dry, since spreading cream or oil is what a soft bed does best.
Hold it flat in the palm and take long passes across the top of the head, then shorter ones down the sides, following the direction the hair grows. To finish a style, one light pass over the surface is enough.
Results
Product ends up evenly distributed from root to end instead of concentrated wherever your hands landed, which is most of why a curl cream works or does not.
The square bed covers more ground per stroke, so a full pass takes less time. Frizz lifts off a finished style and curls come out defined instead of flattened. Comfortable enough for daily use on a scalp that objects to anything firmer.
