A roller brush is a blow drying tool. The barrel gives you something to pull against, and the tension between the brush and the dryer is what turns damp hair into a finished shape.
The 7727 runs nylon bristles in rows around a round barrel. Nylon holds its shape under heat, so the bristles keep gripping through a full head rather than splaying out after a few sections.

Application tips
Rough dry to around eighty per cent first, then section from the nape up and clip the rest away.
Slide the brush under a section at the root, lift, and follow it out to the ends with the dryer nozzle pointed down the hair behind the barrel. Turn the wrist at the finish for a bend under or out. Blast the section with cool air before you release it, or the shape drops straight back out.

The finish lands somewhere between a straight blow dry and a loose bend, decided by how far you roll the barrel before letting go. The bristle rows stay upright from the first section to the last, so the grip does not fade halfway round the head.
