Narrow brushes are parting tools. The head is barely wider than a section, which is exactly what you want when you are laying a cornrow line or working edge control along a hairline without smearing it up into the rest of the hair.
The 7705 is the medium firmness version, and it handles gel and pomade better than a soft brush does. A soft head loads up with product and starts pushing it around. A medium head keeps enough spring to distribute it evenly and comb the hair flat at the same time.

Rinse the head after a session with gel. Product dries into the base and stiffens the bristles faster than anything else will, and a stiff narrow brush is no use to anyone.
