Application tips
Build up to it. Coming off a soft or medium brush, three or four minutes a session for the first week is enough while the scalp adjusts to the extra bite.
Long passes from front to back, following the fall of the hair, with the oval face flat against the head. Cover the hair straight afterwards. Run a comb through the bristles weekly, then rinse and dry the brush face down.
Results
Stiff, closely set bristles carry hair with them instead of slipping between strands, which is exactly what a coarse texture needs before a pattern will hold.
Definition builds through repetition rather than force. Daily sessions on dense hair sharpen the swirl across a few weeks, and the surface stays flat in between. On fine hair it is simply too much brush.
