That combination is the gentlest thing in the palm brush range, and it is the one to reach for on hair that is fine, freshly cut, or attached to a scalp that has had enough of being scrubbed. The bristles bend before they pull, so you can take a long slow stroke over the crown without the sting a hard brush gives you on the same pass. The curve keeps the edge bristles in contact as the brush travels down the sides, which is what makes the coverage even. It will lay hair down, it will smooth the top layer, and it will take frizz out of a finished style.
What it will not do is move a dense, coarse pattern on its own. Pair it with a harder brush for that, and use this one to finish.

Application tips
Slow strokes, light hand. There is no point leaning on a soft brush, because the bristles give before they move anything and all you achieve is a sore scalp.
Three or four passes over each area covers daily upkeep. If you run a two brush routine, this is the one you pick up at the end, once the hair is already lying in the right direction.
Results
The bristles flex against the head rather than resisting it, which keeps a ten minute session comfortable on skin that has been brushed every day for a fortnight.
What you get is a flatter top layer, less standing frizz and a soft shine along the strand. On short, fine or newly cut hair that is often the whole of the styling.
