Application tips
A practical way to use both: box the head off in white so every section is easy to see while you work, then close each finished braid in black once the styling is done. The white ones come out as you go and nothing is left showing that you did not choose.
Wrap twice, keep the tension even from front to back, and snip rather than tug when the style comes down.
Results
Two colours cover the two jobs a band has to do. One disappears into dark hair and lets the braid be the thing you notice. The other stands out on purpose, which is what a stitch braid or a geometric parting actually wants.
