A cleansing cream is a curl wash without the foam. There is no sulphate detergent in it, so the wash is mild enough that curls keep their moisture, and buildup still comes off.
Keracare uses the Ayurvedic botanicals amla, neem and shikakai here, with argan and abyssinian oils for conditioning. The hair goes into the shower dry and coated and comes out clean without the stripped stage, which is the whole reason for switching away from a foaming shampoo.
Massage it into wet hair and scalp in sections, rinse, and follow with a conditioner or a leave in. If you use heavy butters or waxes, run a clarifying shampoo every few weeks alongside it, since a gentle cleanser will not shift everything on its own.
