It is a deep conditioner for moisture-deficient hair rather than a daily rinse-out. The formula works on surface porosity, which is the technical way of saying it smooths down a cuticle roughed up by heat, colour or hard water. Once that surface is smoother the hair behaves: combs pull less, static stops building, and moisture stays in the strand instead of evaporating out of it.
