Application tips
Damp hair, worked through the section before you twist rather than smoothed on afterwards. Setting lotion needs to be inside the twist, not painted over the outside of it.
Palm-roll each loc as you go and sit under a hooded dryer or leave it to air dry undisturbed. Touching a set while it dries is what turns a clean retwist into a fuzzy one.
Results
Twists and retwists hold their shape without going hard. There is give in the hair when you move, but the pattern stays where it was set for a good stretch of the wear period.
Locs come out with a soft shine rather than a waxy one, and the definition survives a night on a pillow. Come wash day it lifts out in the first shampoo, so nothing collects inside the loc over months of use.
