The pre-stretched version, and the time saving is not small. Stretching and feathering a pack of bulk hair by hand is an hour of work before you touch the head. This comes pre-feathered, tapered and ready to plait.
The fibre itself is light and comfortable enough for the styles that stay in longest: box braids, knotless, crochet braids and twists. Less weight at the root means less tension, and tension is the part of a protective style that actually causes damage.
Tangle-free is the other claim worth caring about. Fibre that snags mid-install slows everything down and leaves untidy roots, and this one feeds through cleanly from the pack.

Application tips
Straight from the pack to the head, no feathering needed. Take a section of natural hair, lay the fibre against it and split into three, then plait down keeping the tension even rather than tight.
Knotless installs work best if you feed small amounts in over the first inch. Seal the ends in hot water or with a wand once you have finished the row.
Results
A full head goes in considerably faster, since the tapering is already done and the fibre does not snag halfway down a braid. Roots sit neater.
The finished braids taper naturally at the tips instead of ending in a blunt, obvious cut, and the reduced weight makes the first few nights easier to sleep through.
