Howdy Curls Spring Back Gel Crème - 200ml
Denser curls and coils need more from a styler than a jelly can give, which is where a gel creme comes in. This 200ml one is the richer end of Noughty's curl range, aimed at 2c through 4c.
It holds, and the hold is flexible rather than rigid. Curls spring back when you touch them instead of shattering, and there is no flaking or stickiness left on the surface. Moisture replenishment is the other half of the formula, so the cuticle stays smooth and the definition holds because the hair is conditioned rather than glued.
Sea fennel, Irish moss and wheat bran extract are the named ingredients doing the work. Apply through damp hair section by section and let it dry undisturbed, or diffuse if you want more volume out of it.

Application tips
Somewhere between a gel and a cream, so treat it as both. Apply to wet hair in sections, smoothing with the palms so the product coats every strand, then scrunch upwards to bring the curl back.
Use more than you would with a gel and less than you would with a cream. Air dry or diffuse, and leave it alone until it is dry.
Results
Curls come back up with bounce rather than being weighed flat, and the hold sits in the middle: enough to keep the shape all day, not enough to make the hair rigid.
There is no crunch and no flaking. Hair feels moisturised underneath the styling, which is unusual with this much hold, and the definition survives a windy walk.
