GIOVANNI Curl Habit Curl Defining Conditioner – For Curly Hair, Vegan, Cruelty-Free, Silicone-Free, 24 oz
24 oz of conditioner is a commitment, and Giovanni have sized Curl Habit for people who get through it. It is a creamy, lightly scented rinse-out for curls from 2a through 4a, and it doubles as a light leave-in if you keep a thin layer on the ends instead of rinsing everything away.
Coconut oil, jojoba seed oil and shea butter carry the conditioning, with a set of plant extracts alongside them. There is no silicone in it, which is the point for anyone following a curly girl routine, and it is vegan and cruelty-free in recyclable packaging. Colour-safe as well, so a gloss or a full dye job is not at risk.
- Defines curls while keeping them soft rather than crunchy
- Cuts frizz without the weight of a heavy cream
- Safe on colour-treated hair
- Silicone-free, vegan and cruelty-free
Apply to freshly washed damp hair, work it from mid-lengths to ends with fingers or a wide-tooth comb, and give it a minute or two. Rinse it out, or leave a thin film on the ends if your hair is thirsty that week.

Application tips
Squeeze the water out first. Conditioner poured onto dripping hair mostly ends up on the shower floor, and at 24 oz that adds up.
Take a generous handful, press it through in four sections, then leave it while you do everything else. Detangling happens with the product on and works from the ends up. To use it as a leave-in, rinse most of it out and leave the rest on the last two inches.
Results
Softness, with the curl clumped and readable rather than stripped back to a straight rope. Frizz goes quieter and the ends look less see through. Nothing coats the strand, so the next product still absorbs. On a 2a wave it is light enough not to drop the pattern, and on a 4a coil it gives enough slip to get through detangling without losing hair to the comb.
Composition
- Coconut Oil
- Carries moisture along the length and keeps the ends supple
