Application tips
For a half-up, gather the top section, hold it flat against the head and close the barrette over the base rather than over loose ends. For a folded ponytail, twist the length upward, tuck the tail under, and clip through the fold and the hair beneath it in one go. Open the clasp fully before removing it; forcing a shut barrette out is what snaps ends.
Results
It holds a shape all day without announcing itself. The pattern borrows whatever colour is around it, so on brown hair it disappears and on black hair it reads as a subtle change of texture.
