Application tips
Gather the ponytail with one hand and pass the scrunchie over the top rather than dragging it up the length, which is the bit that tugs. Wrap until it feels held but not tight; if a finger slides under the base, it is right.
For sleeping, put the ponytail high on the head and wrap once, loosely. Wash them in a mesh bag with the laundry and dry them flat.
Results
The tie mark all but disappears. Take a ponytail down after a day and the hair falls out straight instead of holding a kink where the band sat, and far less comes away in the elastic.
The printed fabric makes it wearable as an accessory in its own right, on a wrist as much as in the hair. Three means one is always to hand.
