The reason to wear a scrunchie instead of a thin elastic is friction. A band of soft fabric spreads the tension across a wider area of hair, so you get fewer creases at the tie point and less of the snapping a bare elastic causes when it comes out.

These three come with Minnie Mouse printed across the fabric, which puts them somewhere between a hair tie and an accessory. They fit children and adults, so a set genuinely gets shared, and they look fine worn round a wrist between uses.

  • Three scrunchies per pack
  • Soft fabric reduces creasing and breakage at the tie point
  • Fits kids and adults, worn in the hair or on the wrist
  • Holds a ponytail, bun or pigtails without digging in

Suits wavy through to coily hair. On thicker or longer hair, two wraps will usually hold better than three.

Application tips

Gather the ponytail with one hand and pass the scrunchie over the top rather than dragging it up the length, which is the bit that tugs. Wrap until it feels held but not tight; if a finger slides under the base, it is right.

For sleeping, put the ponytail high on the head and wrap once, loosely. Wash them in a mesh bag with the laundry and dry them flat.

Results

The tie mark all but disappears. Take a ponytail down after a day and the hair falls out straight instead of holding a kink where the band sat, and far less comes away in the elastic.

The printed fabric makes it wearable as an accessory in its own right, on a wrist as much as in the hair. Three means one is always to hand.

Composition

The full INCI is printed on the pack. We publish it here as soon as the brand supplies it, and we will read it off the bottle for you if you ask.
