Application tips
Hard hold gel needs wet hair and a plan. Comb the style into place first, then apply in thin layers rather than one thick one, smoothing each layer down with a brush or the flat of your hand.
Build until it holds. Wrap with a scarf while it dries if you want it truly flat. Adding gel to a dry style produces flakes, so wet the hair down again first.
Results
The hold is genuinely firm, so a slick back or a sculpted updo keeps its shape for a full day and into the next if you wrap it at night. Shine is high without looking wet.
Aloe stops the gel drying the hair out underneath, which is the usual cost of a strong hold. It brushes out at the sink with warm water, and it sheds no white flakes in the meantime.
