A glaze is not a hold product first. Elasta QP's version is a conditioning shine gel, meant to finish a style rather than build one, and it works on natural, relaxed, permed and chemically treated hair alike.
What it does is add a reflective layer to the strand.
Dull hair picks up gloss, the cuticle lies flatter, and the whole style reads as smoother. It is non-greasy, so there is no heavy build-up sitting in the lengths after a few days.
Frizz control comes with it. The glaze puts a barrier between your hair and humidity, which is the practical reason people keep a tub of it near the door.

Application tips
A little goes a long way with a glaze, so start with a fingertip's worth and add more only if the hair drinks it.
Smooth it over damp hair from mid-length down, or use it on dry hair to sharpen a finished style. It doubles as an edge product on a small brush. Keep it off the scalp, and comb it through before the gel sets so you do not get patches.
Results
Hair picks up a wet-looking gloss that reads as healthy rather than greasy. The surface goes smooth, so flyaways lie down and a parting stays where you put it.
