Plaiting pudding is a specific thing. Thicker than a cream, softer than a gel, and formulated to grip the hair while you are sectioning and braiding rather than after the fact.
Au Naturale Easy Styler is built on Mango Oil and Bamboo Milk. The pudding is rich but stays light on the hair, and the hold is medium with no crunch, which is what you want when a style has to survive a fortnight and still look neat when you unravel it. Braiding, twisting and threading are its home ground, so cornrows, two-strand twists and flat twists all sit well with it.
The other advantage of a pudding over a gel shows up at the end. Because there is no crunch to break, unravelling a twist leaves you with definition rather than a set shape you have to separate out by hand. 250ml. Work it through section by section on damp hair before you plait, and the definition comes as it dries, without flaking or a white cast at the parting.

Application tips
Damp hair takes it best, damp enough that a section still feels cool to the touch.
Scoop, emulsify between your palms until it turns glossy, then smooth it down a parted section from root to tip before you start plaiting. Work one section at a time and plait while the product is still wet. Once it begins to dry the hair stops gripping and the braid loosens.
Results
Braids and twists come out neat, with the fluff along the top of each row lying flat instead of lifting within the hour.
Hold is medium, so hair keeps its softness and a finished style still moves. Take the plaits out and the wave underneath is defined rather than fuzzy. Nothing flakes at the parting and nothing goes stiff overnight.
