CurlyKids Curl Poppin Creme 8oz
Children's curls need the same things adult curls do, just with less product and considerably less fuss.
Curl Poppin Creme is built for that. The base is water, cetyl and cetearyl alcohol for slip, and coconut oil for softness, which is why it feels creamy on the hand and spreads without dragging. It adds definition and a little body without weighing curls flat, so twist-outs and curl refreshes hold their shape through a school day.
It is a curl cream rather than a detangler, so on badly matted hair you will still want a conditioner and a wide-tooth comb first. What it does well is the step after that, keeping the curl organised and touchable once the tangles are out.
Work it through damp or dry hair, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends where the dryness usually sits. Top up lightly between wash days rather than reapplying the full amount, which is how build-up starts.
8oz tub, and it suits anything from 2a to 4c, especially textures that tangle the moment they dry.

Application tips
Damp hair takes it best, though a dry refresh works if you mist first. Take a walnut-sized scoop, warm it between the palms until it thins out, then press it into each section with a flat palm and no raking. For a twist-out, twist immediately after applying and leave it until fully dry. Unravel with oiled fingers so the ends do not puff.
Results
Twist-outs come apart with more definition and hold their shape into a second and third day, which is where lighter products give up first. Enough body is left in the hair to keep a style standing.
Refreshing takes a mist of water and a scrunch, no full restyle, and nothing hardens on the strand.
Composition
- Coconut Oil
- Smooths the strand so twist-outs come apart soft and not frizzy
- Cetyl Alcohol
- Thickens the creme and gives it slip on the hair
- Cetearyl Alcohol
- Helps the product spread evenly through dense, coily sections
