Creme of Nature Pure Honey Dry Defense Shampoo 12 oz / 355 ml - For Dry, Natural, & Damaged Hair
Honey is a humectant, which means it draws water towards itself and holds it there. That is the idea behind this shampoo. Rather than cleaning the hair and leaving it to dry out, it puts moisture back while it washes.
The cleanse itself is gentle. Build-up, oil and old product come off the scalp, but the natural oils stay put, so hair does not feel squeaky or tight afterwards. On dry, natural or damaged hair the difference is obvious by the time you reach for conditioner, because there is far less tangling to work through.
It is the first step in the Pure Honey range and it does its best work when the matching conditioner or mask follows. On its own it will not fix serious dryness, and it is not pretending to.
12 oz / 355 ml, for type 2c to 4b. Worth trying if every shampoo so far has left your hair feeling stripped.

Application tips
Wet the hair through, then apply to the scalp and massage in rows with your fingertips. Let the run-off do the lengths.
One lather is usually enough.
Rinse well, then go straight into the matching conditioner or mask while the hair is still wet, because this is the first step of the routine rather than the whole job.
Results
The scalp comes clean without that tight, squeaky finish that tells you the oils went down the drain alongside the dirt.
You notice it at the conditioner stage, when there is much less knotting to fight. Alone it will not solve deep dryness, and it is honest about that. The case for it is simple: if past shampoos have left your hair feeling stripped, this one probably will not.
