Firm hold carries a trade-off worth naming. The stronger the grip, the more careful you have to be about washing it out, because layering fresh product over old is what causes buildup at the hairline and the breakage that follows. Wash your edges the way you wash the rest of your hair.

Application tips
Clean, dry hair, and less product than you would use of a normal edge gel, because this grips harder.
Press it in, shape with a brush, then scarf for ten minutes rather than five. Rinse it out properly the same day. Layering fresh product over yesterday's is what causes hairline build-up and the breakage that follows it.
