Creme Of Nature Creamy Hydration Co-Wash 12 oz / 355 ml - For Natural Curls & Hydration
A co-wash is a conditioner that cleans. There are no sulphates in it, so it lifts oil and product residue by dissolving them rather than stripping them out, and hair comes out of the shower soft instead of squeaky. Every curl type from loose waves to tight coils can wash this way.
Creme of Nature's version leads with argan oil from Morocco and is colour-safe, which is worth knowing if you are stretching the time between salon visits. It is thick, so work it in sections directly onto the scalp and use your fingers properly rather than piling it on top.
Co-washing suits some heads and not others. Dense, dry, coily hair that gets stripped by shampoo tends to do very well on it. Fine hair, or anyone using heavy butters and gels, will find buildup catches up within a fortnight. If your roots start feeling coated, that is the signal to shampoo rather than to co-wash again.
It works best as the mid-week wash, with a proper shampoo every few washes to clear whatever the co-wash leaves behind. 12 oz / 355 ml.

Application tips
Use more than you think. A co-wash has no foam to tell you where it has been, so the volume is the only guide, and dense hair takes two or three palmfuls.
Let it sit on the scalp for a minute before you rinse. Rinse for longer than feels necessary, because leftover cream is what starts the buildup that ends co-washing for most people.
Results
Hair comes out of the shower already soft, with most of the detangling done, so the leave-in and the styler go on faster.
Curl clumps survive the wash instead of being blown apart by lather and having to be rebuilt afterwards. The scalp feels clean rather than scrubbed. On dense, coily hair the moisture level after a co-wash is noticeably higher than after any shampoo.
