A creamy oil is a hybrid: thinner than a butter, richer than a spray. It pours rather than scoops, and it is designed to be worked through the hair as a daily moisturiser instead of a wash day treatment.
Creme Of Nature build this one on argan oil. The point of the creamy base is that the oil is carried into the hair with water rather than sitting on the surface, so dry hair takes it up properly. Used daily it keeps hair pliable, which is what stops the mid-week crunchiness dry natural hair falls into. A straight oil cannot do that on its own. It seals in whatever moisture is already present, and on hair that has none to begin with, sealing is the wrong step.

Application tips
Pour a little into a wet palm, not a dry one. The water is what carries it in, and it is why this format goes on differently to a straight oil. Rake it through in four sections, ends first, roots last or not at all. Daily on hair that dries out fast, every other day if it starts feeling heavy. On a wash day it goes on before your styler rather than after.
Results
Day four hair stops being a problem. The stiff, straw-like feel that arrives mid-week on natural and relaxed hair does not turn up, or turns up later and milder.
