Cantu Acai Berry Curl Activator 12 oz / 355 ml - For Defined, Frizz-Free Curls
Curl activator is a slightly old-fashioned name for a genuinely useful format: a light cream that draws the pattern out of hair which has gone loose or undefined, without the hold of a gel or the weight of a butter.
Pure shea butter, acai berry and safflower oil make up this one. Safflower is the light note, which is why it can go on a full head without flattening the roots. Curls come out defined and full, frizz stays down, and there is no crunch or stickiness at the end of it.
12 oz / 355 ml. Apply to damp hair, rake it through in sections, then leave it alone as it dries. Good on 2c through 4b textures, and a reasonable pick if gels have always felt too heavy on your hair.

Application tips
Start at the back where hair is densest and work forward, using roughly a ten pence sized amount per section on shoulder length hair.
Smooth each piece downward rather than scrunching if you want length instead of volume. It also works on day two, applied to hands dampened with water and pressed over the flattened sections. Keep it off the scalp.
Results
Loose, undefined curls tighten up and read as a pattern again, with body at the root rather than the flatness a gel can leave behind.
There is no crunch and nothing sticky to break out, so hair is touchable from the moment it dries. Frizz stays down through the day and the finish is soft rather than glossy.
