Application tips
Set the neck strap first, then pull the waist in until the bib sits flat against the chest, because a loose apron catches clippings in the folds.
Shake it out over a bin between clients rather than brushing it down. Leather does not go in a washing machine: wipe it with a damp cloth, dry it away from a radiator, and hang it rather than folding it.
Results
Clippings slide off instead of embedding themselves in fabric, and colour or bleach that would have ruined a shirt beads on the surface and wipes away.
The weight of the leather keeps it hanging straight through a full day rather than riding up. It ages rather than wears out, softening along the fold lines, and it looks like part of the shop rather than a uniform.
