Shrinkage is a sign of healthy spring rather than damage, but it is frustrating when hair that reaches your shoulders wet sits at your ears dry. An elongating gel works with weight and hold to keep more of that length visible.
Don't Shrink is a flake-free gel with a flexible set. Applied to soaking hair and stretched as it dries, it holds the curl in a longer form instead of letting it coil all the way back up. Flaxseed oil keeps the formula moisturising, so the stretch does not come at the cost of dry, crispy hair.
Technique does half the work. Apply in parts on wet hair, smooth downwards, then band the sections, twist them, or clip the roots while everything dries. Let it dry fully before you separate anything.
Made for type 2c through 4b, where shrinkage shows most. The 15 oz tub covers a good few wash days, since an elongating set uses more product than a wash-and-go does.

Application tips
Length comes from tension, not from the tub.
Apply to hair that is still dripping, one part at a time, smoothing each one flat between two fingers from root to tip. Then hold it stretched while it dries. Banding with soft ties, a loose plait, or clips at the root all work. Take everything out only when the hair is completely dry.
Results
Curls sit longer and looser than they would on their own, so hair that normally lands at the ears reaches the collarbone.
The set stays flexible rather than crisp, and there is no white residue when you separate the pieces. Softness underneath means the extra length is not bought at the price of crunch. Definition stays clean through the day.
