Quantum Ultra Firm is the version for normal hair, giving a firm, springy curl that holds its shape. Equalizer 3 conditioner goes on first and balances porosity across the head, which matters because porous ends grab the solution faster than healthy mid-lengths, and that is what produces an uneven set. The neutraliser carries Moroccan argan oil, so hair comes out with shine rather than the dulled, chalky feel a perm can leave.

Ultra firm is the strongest curl setting in the range, which means a tighter result and less tolerance for hair that has already been through something. Normal hair here means hair that has not been bleached, relaxed or heavily coloured. Afterwards, leave the first wash as long as the instructions tell you to, and go easy on heat while the curl settles.

Application tips
Elasticity check first. Stretch a wet strand, and if it snaps rather than returns, the hair is not ready for a firm perm.
Equalizer 3 goes on before anything else. Wind onto rods, apply the solution, and let the self-warming do the processing without a dryer over the top.
Neutralise on the rods. Gloves throughout, and barrier cream along the hairline before you start.
Results
A firm, springy curl with enough resilience to hold its shape for months rather than dropping out over a fortnight. Fine hair gains body it did not have.
The set comes out consistent across the head instead of tighter wherever the hair was already worn, and the finish is shiny rather than chalky, which is the usual giveaway that hair has been permed.
