If you have ever taken braids out early because your edges were sore by the end of the first week, weight is usually the reason. This is acrylic braiding yarn, and a 150g pack of it comes out considerably lighter than the same volume of synthetic hair.
It is spun soft, so it does not leave a rough fibre scratching at the neck, and it does not tangle on itself inside the pack, which saves you the separating you would otherwise do before you even start.

Application tips
Separate the yarn into strands roughly the thickness you want each finished braid to be, then feed it in alongside your own hair at the root, the same way you would with any braiding fibre.
Cut your lengths a little longer than the finish you are after, because knotting or wrapping the tips eats a few centimetres. Nothing needs soaking, stretching or sealing beforehand.
Results
Braids sit noticeably lighter than a synthetic-hair equivalent, so the hairline carries less tension across a long install and the nape is not rubbed raw by rough fibre.
The colour reads matte rather than glossy, closer to wool than to hair, which is the look most people want from yarn styles. Twists and wraps keep their shape without slipping loose.
