Yari Naturals Extra Virgin Coconut Oil & Jamaican Black Castor Oil Conditioner - Strengthening & Growth for Dry, Damaged & Natural Hair 475ml
Coily and afro-textured hair is dry by structure, not by neglect. The bends in the strand stop the natural oils travelling down it, so the conditioner step has to do more work than it would on straight hair. This one is formulated with that in mind.
Extra virgin coconut oil and Jamaican black castor oil are the pairing. Coconut oil goes into the shaft and handles the hydration. Castor oil is thicker and stays nearer the surface, adding weight, slip and shine. Between them you get a conditioner that detangles properly, which matters because most length is lost at the comb rather than at the root.
Apply after shampooing, work it through in sections, leave it a few minutes and rinse. Best on type 3b through type 4c hair that is dry, brittle or damaged. 475ml is a generous bottle if your hair takes a lot of product per wash.

Application tips
Clip wet hair into four before anything goes on, because coily hair does not get evenly coated if you work blind. Warm a palmful between the hands and press it down each quarter, ends first, root last.
Detangle right there, fingers before comb. Ten minutes under a plastic cap if the hair has had a rough month. Rinse most of it away, leave a trace behind, and seal with a cream before the hair dries out.
Results
Hair that fought the comb before the wash gives in during it.
The slip arrives while the product is still on, which is where length actually gets saved. Rinsed out, strands feel padded rather than squeaky, curls clump instead of splitting into frizz, and shine comes back on hair that had gone ashy with dryness. Damp hair stays soft long enough to style without racing it.
