Weight is what ends a braid style early. The install looks right on day one, then the tension tells on the hairline by week two, and the whole thing comes down sooner than planned. This fibre is made light on purpose.
It is a Kanekalon-style modacrylic strand with a soft structure, which is why it braids neatly at small scale and still fills out on chunkier installs. Sections hold their shape while you work, the fibre does not fight the comb, and the finished braid keeps its definition through weeks of wear rather than fuzzing at the mid-lengths.
It suits wavy through coily textures, and it takes colour blending well if you want to mix shades in small increments as you feed. Home braiders get the same behaviour out of it as salon ones, which is more than can be said for most cheap fibre.
