Weight is what ends a braid style early. The install looks right on day one, then the tension tells on the hairline by week two, and the whole thing comes down sooner than planned. This fibre is made light on purpose.
It is a Kanekalon-style modacrylic strand with a soft structure, which is why it braids neatly at small scale and still fills out on chunkier installs. Sections hold their shape while you work, the fibre does not fight the comb, and the finished braid keeps its definition through weeks of wear rather than fuzzing at the mid-lengths.
It suits wavy through coily textures, and it takes colour blending well if you want to mix shades in small increments as you feed. Home braiders get the same behaviour out of it as salon ones, which is more than can be said for most cheap fibre.

Application tips
Open a pack and shake the bundle loose before you part anything, so the strands separate instead of coming off the pile in clumps. Take the width your braid size calls for, fold it over the natural hair at the root, and hold the tension even rather than tight.
Dip the finished ends in hot water to seal them, or knot them off. Wrap in satin at night, and mist the scalp between washes instead of soaking the whole braid.

Finished braids sit light on the head, so a full install is not aching by the second evening.
The plait keeps its pattern down the length rather than blooming into fluff, and it stays smooth enough to swing when you move. Blended shades read as one colour instead of stripes. Take-down goes faster too, because the strand does not weld itself into knots at the roots.
