Curly hair loses definition at the shampoo step more often than at the styling step. Strip the moisture barrier and no amount of gel afterwards will bring the pattern back properly.
Noughty have built this one around not doing that. It lifts impurities away while leaving the hair and scalp's own moisture barrier intact, so curls come out of the wash already behaving rather than fluffed and confused. The formula is 97% natural, with rice water, black oats and mushroom extract carrying the conditioning and definition work.
What you notice is bounce. Frizz is smoothed rather than flattened, the curl shape holds, and the hair feels soft instead of coated. It suits dry and textured hair from loose waves through to 4a, and it makes a sensible first step ahead of a primer or a jelly.

Application tips
Two washes work better than one on curly hair. The first pass lifts oil and product so the second can actually reach the scalp; use less than you think for both, and concentrate on the roots rather than the lengths.
Massage with fingertips, not nails. Rinse properly, since anything left behind will show as dullness later, then follow with conditioner while the hair is still wet.
Results
Hair comes out clean without that stripped, creaking feel, so curls stay springy instead of going brittle by the time they dry.
Rice water and black oats leave the strand conditioned enough that a comb moves through it, and the curl clumps hold together rather than separating into frizz. Scalp feels comfortable, lengths feel soft, shape looks tidier from wash day onwards.
