Application tips
Use the settings rather than leaving it on maximum throughout. Full heat and speed while the hair is genuinely wet, both stepped down once it is only damp, then cool at the end.
Clip the concentrator on when you pick up a brush and take it off for the rough dry. On the back sections, lift the hair away with your free hand and aim the air down from above.
Results
Thick hair gets from wet to dry without the long slog, and the concentrated airflow lets you put the heat exactly where the brush is working instead of over the whole head.
Sections hold their shape once they have cooled, and the roots keep some lift rather than being pressed flat. Easing the temperature down for the last few minutes leaves the lengths glossy instead of parched.
