The No.2419BLA has a long tapered tail, sometimes called a bone tail, sometimes a rat tail. Either way the purpose is the same: a fine end you can draw along the scalp to lift out a clean section, hold it aside, and get an even weave for highlights or a straight line for a parting. The teeth end does the rest, teasing at the crown for height or smoothing a section back down once it is set.
Anti-static plastic keeps flyaways from climbing up the comb as you work, and the body is heat-resistant enough to sit near a dryer without warping.

Application tips
For a weave, slide the tail under a row and lift alternate strands with a flicking motion rather than scooping, which gives you an even pick up.
For box braids, work in a grid: one straight parting across, then squares taken down the row, clipping each as you go. The teeth end smooths the square before you start braiding, which is where a neat braid actually begins.
Results
Sections come out square rather than lopsided, and a set of braids built on square parts sits evenly on the head instead of pulling to one side.
Highlights read as fine and blended because the weave underneath them was consistent. A teased crown holds its height through an evening, and hair combs down flat afterwards without lifting away from the comb.
