The Neo Liner carries an ultra-fine T-blade in high-carbon stainless steel, ground thinner than a general trimmer blade so it can be laid flat against the skin and drawn along a line without the housing lifting it away. That is what makes an edge crisp instead of soft: the blade meets the skin at the same angle for the whole length of the stroke.
It handles hairlines, the shape round the ears, a straight neckline you cannot see while you cut it, and the fine work at the edge of a beard. It also holds stubble at an even length if that is the look you keep.
Cordless with a lithium-ion battery, so nothing tethers you while you turn the head to check a line. Wahl aim it at barbers, and it is well within reach of anyone who maintains their own edges between cuts.
