Application tips
Day-old hair holds a curl better than freshly washed, and a little grip product earns its place on short lengths.
Take small sections. Hold the tong upright for a spiral, turn it flat for a wave with more lift at the root. Do the pieces framing your face last, when you can see what you are matching them to. Let every curl cool right through before you touch it.
Results
Tight, springy curls on lengths a fatter barrel would only bend. Short hair gains height at the root, which is normally the harder half of the job.
Hair releases from the ceramic without catching, so ends come off looking smooth rather than frayed. Run over a set that has dropped by Thursday, a few curls are enough to put the shape back.
