Application tips
Split the hair into four and clip the top out of the way, then work from the nape upwards. Sections of about three centimetres suit this width of barrel.
Alternate the direction you wrap, one away from the face and the next towards it, and the finished set looks far less uniform. Leave the last inch of the ends out for a softer finish. Fine hair wants the low end of the dial.
Results
Rounded curls with bounce in them, the sort that loosen into waves by the time you get home rather than dropping out altogether. Volume builds at the roots as the curls settle against each other.
Heat sits evenly along the barrel, so the section by your ear behaves like the one at the back. Hair leaves the barrel smooth, and the set catches light instead of looking fluffy.
