Application tips
Guard on, start below the fade line and flick the clipper away from the head at the top of each pass instead of stopping dead. That flick is what leaves the join soft.
Go round the head in overlapping passes, then drop a guard and repeat lower down. The taper lever covers the lengths in between. Switch to a trimmer for the outline, and clear the teeth as you go.
