Use it after shampoo on damp hair, in sections, and give it time. Ten minutes under a cap on coarse or coily hair does considerably more than two minutes rinsed in a hurry.

Application tips
Squeeze the hair out so it is damp rather than dripping, then take a heaped scoop and press it in from the ends upwards.
A comb pulled through each handful reaches places fingers miss. Wrap in a warm towel while you finish the rest of your shower if you have the time. Rinse it out properly, because anything left sitting on brittle hair reads as limp instead of conditioned.
Results
Hair stops giving way at the slightest tug, so combing and styling take less off the ends.
The lengths feel bendy rather than crisp, and processed hair that had gone flat picks up a shine that holds until the next wash. On coarse and coily textures the clearest change is how far a wide-tooth comb travels before it catches, which is where most damage starts.
