Application tips
Detangle before you get in the shower, never after. Wet hair that already snaps does not take kindly to a comb.
Use lukewarm water, build the lather at the roots and let it slide down in straight strokes rather than piling everything on top of your head and scrubbing it round. Rinse for longer than feels necessary. Squeeze the water out through a towel instead of rubbing it dry.
Results
Fewer short snapped pieces collect around the basin, mostly because the wash itself stops roughing the hair up.
Strands feel firmer and less papery once dry, and the scalp is left comfortable rather than tight. Give it a few weeks and hair that had been giving way mid-length holds on well enough that more of your length stays on your head.
